The Civil Society Rules and Regulations 2017 states that “The Authority shall facilitate communication between Civil Society Organizations and the Government; liaise with other agencies of the Government and interested parties”. As part of our mandate the Civil Society Organizations Authority (CSOA) had organized the first Government-CSOs Meet 2019 on the theme “Exploring Coordination towards Nation Building” on 22/11/2019 at Terma Linca Resort, Thimphu.

His Excellency the Prime Minister had graciously graced the Meet as the Guest of Honour. Cabinet Ministers, Government Secretaries and other senior Government Officials also attend the Meet. 44 CSOs had their representatives and more than 20 of them had put up exhibition to display their products and works.

As part of the event, Civil Society Organizations Mapping Report 2019 and Civil Society Organizations Information Management System (CSOs-IMS) was launched by HPM.

CSOs and Government Ministries/Agencies discussed collaboration and coordination in nation building. CSO Authority plans to organize the Meet as annual event from next year.
